I honestly have never had nightmare that was so WTF that it kept me numb from fright the entire morning
So in the beginning, I'm just chilling with Jackie Chan. Except this is Jackie Chan in his serious acting mode. He's got Jacob-Black hair and the Bruce Lee outfit (no shirt, black pants, you know) I never know that setting in my dreams that clearly, but I remember there's foliage on the ground, so I'm guessing we're in the woods. Theres a very forboding atmostphere, and Jackie Chan's anxiously looking around. Suddenly, the main antogonist of my dream enters. I have no clear idea what he looks like, but he's just kind of there. And I just instinctively know that he's after me. Jackie Chan tells me to hurry up and get out of here. We jump onto something's that's being pulled by horses, I'm not quite sure what it is or how it got there. We start accelerating, and soon we're going really fast. But the bad guy, whoever he is, is catching up just as quickly. I think he's on a horse. Jackie Chan has to be the hero, so he launches himself at him and they both land in on the road, leaves flying. I watch their tussle disappear into the distaces as the horses took me farther and farther away. By now, I can tell that its the evening, the sky's full of purples, pinks, and oranges. Finally get dropped off at this place that looks like the set of some old Korean historical drama, the maze-like paths and straw roofed huts and everything. Right in the middle there's this gigantic pagoda. Actually it's not really tall, but when you look at it, it just feelsreally big. There's some guy dressed in the red robes of a Korean government official, so I'm like, hey, I should be safe here. He tells me that I will be safe if I go in. But in order to get out safely, I have to reach the veranda at the very top. For good measure, they blacked out all the windows to that veranda with thick paper doors so you couldn't just follow the light. So I'm like, what the hell and I went in. God this is where I got really creeped out. It's not like there were hideous monsters and gore and horror, but the entire feeling of this pagoda was just so creepy. So when I go in I realize that despite the fact that the pagoda is like a good twenty stories all, there are no stairs. The area's been sudivided into little comparments, separated by wooden panels. These wooden panels are covered in either black or gold glass and a lot of them are already cracked, creating weird, haunting images. It's a really weird scene. The only way that I can make my way through this place is to crash through the class or knock loose the wooden panels. Suddenly, I see a glimpse of the antagonist from before. I'm suddenly flooded with panic, my mind starts racing. I seem him everywhere, his reflection appears and disappears on the black and gold glass, but I don't know where he is. I'm frightened because I don't want him to find me but the only way I can get away involves making a lot of noise. I am so tense right now, it was this feeling that just wouldn't leave me all morning. It seems like hours pass, I can feel the sky growing darker outside, despite that fact that I can't see outside from the inside of this torturous pagoda. Somehow I make my way further into the building without getting caught. Suddnenly, I come across a panel that's only half there... and directly on the other side is my pursuer (and still, I don't know what he looks like exactly). I duck down quick, and my hearts bascially bouncing out of my chest. But right in front of me is a round column and when I inspected the other side of it, there was a piece of paper adhered to it that said simply: DIE. An arrow pointed down in a large hole at the foot of the column. I take moment to calculate the pros and cons: should I just die now or get caught by HIM? With the growing horror and anxiety in thinking that he's probably coming for me now, I rationalized that i might as well just die. I slid feet first into the hole. It took a winding, wiggly path and I ended up on a conveyer belt deep underground. 2-dimensional flames that looked like they were painted with acrylic paints licked my legs. I hurriedly go up and jogged down the conveyer belt. Eventually I came across another pipe leading up, and I quickly worked my way up. Finally, I emerged above ground and I breathed a sigh of relief. I emerged from what looked like a sewer grate in the middle of a foggy forest. It was very cool, and from the white light that was seeping through the dense trees, I predicted that it was early morning. I found that path that was just barely there, and followed it. As i approached the edge of the woods, I saw a very familiar sight. Outside of the woods there were walls of brown bricks and blue sidings. This was my old apartment complex back when I lived in Iowa. I shielded my eyes from the sun as i emerged into the brilliant daylight. I saw my old bus stop and our parking lot. It was very nostalgic feeling, I'm surprised that I didn't cry. Then I spotted a small child. He was around three years old and although I didn't meet him until I was in first grade, I instinctively knew him as my good friend Jacob Bibb. He was sucking his thumb and some dialogue was exchanged between us, at this point I don't remember what. But I ended up following him to the apartment building next to my old one. I could smell laundry detergent because this was where the laundromat was located as well. Just as I was about to enter that building, Jackie Chan called out to me. Nothing had changed about him at all, it was like he hadn't even been in a fight. But he told me that we had to go back. I was confused and I think I meant to protest, but before I could, I was suddenly back in the pagoda. It was one of those AWW, FUCK moments. And on top of that Jackie Chan just kind of disappeared on me again, so I had to keep on risking my ass to find that freaking veranda. This time I could hear HIM coming for me. I hurried to get throught those pesky glass panels. More and more hours pass. I feel like its evening again. As some point, the wooden panels grow less and less frequent and I eventually find myself in an open room... full of people! I don't even know how relieved I was because my pursuer most probably wouldn't try anything in front of other people. I would be safe. Suddenly, for no apparent reason, I suddenly find myself looking through the eyes of, well, my pursure himself. He was heading for a bathroom (wtf, where'd he find that??). The walls and floor are covered in off-white tiles. He opens the door and sees Harley. You know, the Harley Quinn, Joker's female sidekick? Yeah it was her in there. Well, she's there squatting against the wall. And all of her clothes are definately painted on. She has that coy look on her face and I don't know what the hell she's doing there. Words are exchanged, I don't know what, but it's regarding how to catch me. It was creepy. Then it's back to me. So I'm hangin around the group of people who seem to be having some-Asian themed cocktail party. I don't want to be noticed but I don't want to be too far away from the crowd either, just in case HE comes around. Then suddenly, the walls of the room fall off. I'm actually on the veranda! I look down and see the village below. The sky's wearing its deep evening colors again and I'm just feeling so free and liberated. That official at the door did tell me that I would be safe. I walk to the edge of the railing and look down. Holy shit. Hanging from a rope on the veranda is that government official. Except, he isn't the same. His face's been distorted to cartoonish quality and his eyes are rolling and rolling in his sockets. His tongue's hanging from his mouth that's uttering raspy syllables and he slowly, slowly, climbs towards me. Oh my god, what is going on, I think. He's trying to eat me or something! Panicing, I inch myway over to the other end of the veranda. As the monster's pulling himself up, I jump. I feel like I fall only about four stories and I land hard, but not harmed. I'm desperate to get away, my limbs are shaking and I feel like the adrenalin is boiling my brain. I hear guards being called from the pagoda to capture me. I run throught the village hoping to god that there are some sane people that will hide me. Alas, as I said before, the place looked like a set. And it was. All the people there were like the extras from a drama, they really didn't notice me but just went on performing their roles. Scrambling around sharp corners and stumbling over rocks, I threw myself under a huge vegetable stand. In the darkness i waited for an hour, it seemed. I was so scared that they would come to find me just from the sound of my breathing. A while later, I hear people gathering around the stand that I'm hiding under. From the sounds and words being exchanged, I could tell that they were pulling our their laptops and tablets. They were all going onto Tegaki. I was SO paranoid at this point, I only reasoned that they must be doing this to try to lure me out. They must know how ADDICTED i am to Tegaki. Few more minutes of agonizing fear passed. Then my dad's "Wake up" brought me home.
